The Brownstown School Board held their annual budget hearing at their recent monthly meeting. Brownstown Superintendent Adam Bussard said that at this point the budget process is only speculative, as it is unknown how much funding the district will receive from the state. Following the hearing, the Board passed the budget for Fiscal Year 2016. The budget can be amended throughout the school year to reflect any changes in finances, including funding from the state.
So far this year, the District has been receiving general state aid at a 92% proration.
