An inmate of the Federal Correctional Institution located in Greenville has been sentenced on the charge of Possession of Contraband by a Federal Inmate.
The charge against 25-year-old Anthony Johnson is from an incident last September when he was observed swallowing and object that turned out to be a balloon filled with heroin.
Johnson was sentenced to a term of 28 months’ imprisonment, which must be served consecutively to his current sentence. He also received 3 years of supervised release, was fined $100, and ordered to pay a $100 special assessment. Johnson has been held without bond since his arraignment on May 12, 2015.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Prisons’ Special Investigation Section.
