The Teutopolis Unit 50 School Board has officially approved the District’s budget for the current school year. The approval came at Monday’s board meeting, following a public hearing. The board approved the tentative budget last month, which had a deficit of $8,000. It should be noted that school districts often have to amend their budgets over the course of the school year, and that the budget passed at this time is just a reflection of projected financial revenues and expenditures.
In other action, the Board approved the salary schedules for the district’s teachers. This comes after approving a new three year contract with the Teutopolis Education Association last month. The salary schedule will go along with this contract, running through 2018.
The Board also approved a new extra curricular activity, allowing a student to participate in IHSA swimming and diving.
