Space is filling up on the Effingham Chamber of Commerce hosted trip to China next spring. The trip, scheduled for April 16-24, 2016, will be a nine-day tour of some of the leading cities in China to experience their centuries old customs and history.
The tour will visit Beijing, Xi’An, and Shanghai. Some major highlights of Beijing will be Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world, and the Forbidden City, home of 24 emperors with a total space of 9,999 rooms. The Great Wall will also be a major attraction in Beijing. Xi’An offers the Terra Cotta Warriors and the Banpo Museum, featuring a pre-historical caveman site. The world’s largest city, Shanghai, will be the last city on the tour. While in Shanghai, you will visit the Bund, Shanghai’s waterfront park, and the Pudong Economic Development Zone.
The all-inclusive trip will include round-trip airfare direct from Chicago to Beijing, airfare and transfers within China, luxury hotel accommodations, transportation from Effingham to the airport, and travel insurance. For double occupancy the price is $2,699 each and single occupancy will cost an additional $500. A valid passport and visa will be required for this trip.
