Amanda Ade-Harlow has been named the next Public Defender for Shelby County.
Ade-Harlow currently serves as the Assistant State’s Attorney of Fayette County. She also in 2012 served as the Assistant State’s Attorney in Shelby County.
She hasalso served as a Conflict Public Defender in Shelby, Christian and Montgomery Counties, meaning she was called on to represent defendants in times where the full time public defender was unavailable.
Shelby County is part of the Fourth Judicial Circuit, which also includes Effingham, Fayette Clay, Clinton, Jasper, Marion, Christian and Montgomery counties.
