A 67-year-old resident of rural Mulberry Grove man died Tuesday when he fell from a scaffold he was working on. James Hickman was on a scaffold while working on a house when he lost his balance and fell. The fall was a distance of approximately 28 feet and onto a concrete patio.
Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen pronounced Hickman dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the Fayette County Coroner, with an autopsy scheduled today at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham.
