The City of Effingham has entered an agreement with the New York City based company PublicStuff for the development and implementation of a civic engagement application.
The mobile application is being launched to increase engagement with Effingham’s residents. Once launched the application will be available free of charge to anyone who wishes to download it on a mobile phone or tablet. The service will also be available online at the City’s website.
The City has been working with PublicStuff to create and customize the app so that it will best fit the City’s needs. The goal is for the app to be used for public works related issues, economic development, utility bill payments, tourism related promotions, and more.
The agreement will cost $5000, which will be split among water, sewer, tourism, and general funds.
