Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are teaming up to make something awesome. The Devil in the White City is a non-fiction book, by Erik Larson, based on H.H. Holmes, the first-documented, American serial killer. Once Holmes was caught, he confessed to 27 murders. In reality, it’s estimated that he killed up to 200 people, many lured into his hotel during the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Pure evil.
Despite the vileness of Holmes’ crimes, his story will no doubt make for an eerie, yet entertaining, tale. Also, DiCaprio and Scorsese make a great team as demonstrated in numerous other films like The Wolf of Wall Street (2014), The Departed (2006), and Shutter Island (2010) just to name a few. Evidently, DiCaprio has been waiting to play Holmes since 2010.
