For the sixth year in a row the Central Illinois Foodbank has received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator. A four-star rating is the highest rating an organization can receive from Charity Navigator, which is the largest charity evaluator in the country.
Central Illinois Foodbank serves 21 counties, including Effingham, Fayette, and Marion.
The foodbank received the high rating thanks in part to more than 97% of their total expenses being for the programs and services they offer. Annually, Central Illinois Foodbank distributes over 8.5 million pounds of food to over 150 food pantries, soup kitchens, residential programs and after-school programs in its service area.
