The Teutopolis Unit 50 School Board met Monday night, passing a tentative budget for the upcoming school year. The budget comes very close to balanced, with a deficit of $8,000. This number though is not guaranteed, as the District is still unsure on the amount of general state aid they will receive. A hearing will be held prior to next month’s meeting. This is open to the public, and feedback will be accepted.
The Board also discussed a potential change to their policies involving the hiring process. The potential change would keep Board members more informed as the hiring process occurs.
