The Mulberry Grove man who led police in Christian County on a high speed chase Monday has been arrested and is being held in the Fayette County Jail. Pending charges against 24-year-old Donald Ray Van Hoose III include resisting or obstructing a peace officer and aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude police in the incident. He also had outstanding warrants in Shelby County and from the state Department of Corrections.
Van Hoose fled police pursuit after a Moweaqua Police Officer attempted to stop his vehicle, which was observed traveling south on US 51 at a speed of over 100 mph just after 8:00pm Monday. Van Hoose eventually exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
He was brought into custody Wednesday by authorities from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Fayette County Sheriffs Department.
