A Robinson man was injured Wednesday in an accident in Montrose just before noon.
The accident occurred at 11:55am when 26-year-old Bradley R. Tye was traveling southbound on 2300th Street and passing a farm vehicle at the 1600th Avenue intersection. When Tye was attempting to pass, the farm vehicle was turning east onto 1600th Avenue. Tye swerved in an effort to avoid a crash and lost control of his vehicle. He left the roadway and struck a tree approximately 200 feet south of the intersection. Tye was transferred to Carle Hospital with injuries. He was ticketed for improper passing in an intersection and driving to fast for conditions.
