The Effingham Plan Commission has recommended two zoning changes to the City Council.
The first rezoning would allow St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital to expand with a building used to provide additional office space and offer clinic services. The Hospital has met all requests made by the plan commission for the facility, and is in compliance with the zoning code. The placement of new fire hydrants at the property’s entrance and exit was among the requirements for the rezoning.
The Plan Commission also recommended the rezoning of a piece of land in the southeastern portion of Evergreen Avenue and Outer Belt West to allow for the development of a Heuls Veterinary Clinic.
These items must still be approved by the City Council.
